COLOR & LIGHT

To appropriate that old idiom, “The devil is in the details”, I think, often “The art is in the details”. Of course color, light, shadow, texture, pattern, reflection, and gesture are all critical elements, but it is also important to eliminate the superfluous. The distractions. To hone in on the core beauty of a subject: a window on a tiled roof, a bolt on a rusty beam, a reflection in the side of a truck or building. It is very much “found art”.
